I had to pay 300 rupees as bribe to the head constable when I went to the Indiranagar Police Station to file an FIR. This was around two years ago when I had my Motorola phone stolen in the office. The constable refused to file an FIR and instead asked for the bribe when I asked him for a permission letter to get a new SIM from Vodafone with the same number!!!RockStanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1413188010345789411.post-71027574744236222712010-04-08T15:54:07.107+05:302010-04-08T15:54:07.107+05:30Thanks for the support Arunava. The bribe was for the gesture of acting as a mediator b/w the aggrieved parties.

I am feeling great. Waiting for the bruises to heal and get back into action.

Bribe and corruption has become a way of life here in India. Forwarding cases to people or newspapers is of no point. The change has to happen at the grassroot level. We need to elect responsible, honest politicians who will in turn clean up the muck.RockStanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1413188010345789411.post-5254564133993848292010-04-06T21:57:59.919+05:302010-04-06T21:57:59.919+05:30I am awestruck to see Bangalore Police ask for bri...I am awestruck to see Bangalore Police ask for bribes to file police complaints.....Your article unmasks the naked truth about the Indian Police, be it Bangalore, Kolkata or any other major cities of India. U need to grease their palms before you can expect any help from them. And your incident is not help, its their duty to bring the perpetrator to the task. Please do forward the article to all leading dailies of Bangalore and if you need help in doing so please tell me, I will do it for u.... And Shilpa is right.... I have seen u, Guru and Guna work endlessly, so devoted in work.... Though work is worship, too much devotion in work is not good. Nowadays please get to your home on time after office, DO NOT overstay.... How r u feeling now??? I pray to GOD that u get well soon and start ur work at the earliest.... Forget about what has happened, don't dwell on it much as it going to cause much pain... Try to forget the incident.... Its our disgrace that Indian Police and Lawmakers are a name by themselves and good-for-nothing lot... I am eager to forward your case to Dr. Kiran Bedi..... and such cases remind me of trying for the IPS, so that atleast by becoming a high level police officer, I can stem the rot......Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1413188010345789411.post-8968334193729645892010-04-05T17:33:41.656+05:302010-04-05T17:33:41.656+05:30Ur dad had to pay 1500Rs to file a complaint?
