Crazy gadget iPhone on BSNL service

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. [BSNL] is India's largest telephone service provider to private and business customers with a subscriber base of 17.8 million cellular customers. It is also India's no. 1 Internet service provider. BSNL prides itself on providing Quality Telecom Network in the country and is now focusing on improving it, expanding the network, introducing new telecom services in villages and wining customer's satisfaction. Its consumer plans are quite acceptable for both prepaid and postpaid customers. BSNL has earned quite a lot of good will in customers and its time for it to introduce the crazy gadget iPhone in India.

Introduction of iPhone will be a momentous achievement for a company which has taken telecommunications into the numerous pathless villages dotting our countryside. It would be a real boon if iPhone is delivered to those villages, quaint towns and cities. It would result in the iPhone, the most technically advanced PDA being brought to the doorsteps of the villages, just like what Reliance did by introducing mobiles in every nook and corner of India.

It’s is sad that still it’s not been released in India officially, even though the other countries have already laid their hands on the 3G iPhone. Its time to awaken the public and private sector, to get the eye opening technology to India.

I had come across an article in The Times of India, which said that the iPhone will be released on Vodafone’s network. However, the network coverage of this service provider is not as good as that of BSNL. So positive feedback is very much there in terms of network coverage and customer care service, favoring BSNL. Does BSNL need any more goading to go and get this wonderful gadget?

Bharti Airtel has said that it will be releasing the 3G iPhone in the month of October in India. Airtel certainly has a great network coverage but it lags behind in customer care satisfaction. In future for any queries if you call the Airtel executives I don’t think you can get satisfactory answers.

So, with good will and customer satisfaction favoring BSNL, what is stopping them from releasing the iPhone in India?

If it is going to be happen, then I would be the first happy and crazy customer to get it from the BSNL Stores.

Over to you, BSNL!
