I couldn’t capture a word..

I couldn’t capture a word..

When I started drawing this picture, I was thinking I’ll write something special about Mom. But now when I started writing, I am finding it difficult to write it down. I am running out of words. I really don’t understand that I am not able to write even a single word. It’s all coz there is no word that can match Mom. I didn’t want to quit that easily. I am trying hard and harder until my love and affection towards Mom will find a word that can best suit her. I still say there is no word. But there should be something that can portray Mom. The love that is unconditional; made of sacrifice and endless. The love that cannot be stolen or destroyed. The love that wipe my worries and face my fears. The love that is unselfishness and endless.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Hey I wish there is some special word to portray Mom. When I figure it out, I will make sure to share that with you.

Happy Mother’s Day!!

This Mother’s Day was really special and unforgettable. I learnt how it feels to miss someone without whom this world is blank. Rahul’s cry is still haunting me. It is so painful to see him like this. Sometime later, I tried to divert the topic and our conversation lead to movies…friends…blah blah…

Friends, all I wanted to say through this post is – Lets spend some quality time with our beloved ones. I know, in this busy world, we are lost. Still there is always a way, just ask the love and care – it’ll lead us the right way to make our dear ones happy.

Lets not be too late to show how much they mean to our lives.

Mom – I love you!

Behalf of me –Plzz.. wish your Moms “Happy Mother’s Day”

Friend – Whom I Treasure

I felt near to the ground, the day when you text me

Early in the morning, the text read “Raki you are my valuable friend in life…

……………………………………………………………………………………………”

Each word from the text has made a impression in my heart

I know you since my college days,

You are such a kind person

You made us laugh, cry, shout, dance,

Scream, run…what not!

There is no one to say unconstructive about you

We all love you the way you are

And specially the way we are when you are around

I can write loads and lots cherishing the days we spent

But now, this day is reminding me of the day

When you had to leave us and fly to overseas

I am happy for you that you are making your career there

I am happier that your wish has come true

But I remember how hard you felt

The tough time you went through, just before leaving

I know things will settle down soon

And you know it too

I miss you dear friend,

Though we did not talk each day

And meet each weekends

Still deep in our hearts we used to care for each other

In our own ways

Friend like you is always special and

Would treasure all the memories stringed

The thoughts and the feel of missing you

Going through my head is going to make me burst

Burst with depression and misery

I do not know, if this is how I feel till you return

Will I keep missing you, or

I let my things get in my way and slowly come out

Out of these despair feelings

I am waiting for your mail,

Mail that signs your risk-free life there

Shashi, you and your friendship is precious

Take care Dear.

See you soon..

With lots of love, care and friendship

LOST LOVE

The pain of going through a broken relationship is awful. Realizing that the special person, who meant life, is no more yours is like world coming to an end. Once you are betrayed, it really hurts and you are shattered completely; everyone looks like a betrayer to you.

Here is a love, shedding tears for LOST LOVE:

Crazy 2009 Resolutions

Hello Friends,

Wish you all a happy New Year's Eve!! New Year's Eve has always been a time to look back to the past and fix few things right. It’s more importantly time to look forward the coming year. When I was asked to post on a ‘New Year's Resolutions’, I had lots of questions in my mind. Mainly, why are resolutions made on this day? Why not some other day? Is there any history for this?

When I have so many questions it is difficult for me to post. So with out wasting time, I Google-d for the info. Well, I got to read lots on the topic. You can know read it here.

Hey, New Year's Eve is a perfect day to echo the changes we want to bring in our lives. Sometimes our resolutions will bring changes in others lives too.

I donno how far people follow through those changes that they have vow to do.

I don’t make formal resolutions and follow them but will surely make changes accordingly. It’s heartrending not to follow something that we have vowed to pursue. Specially when we blog it and all our friends come to know what I am supposed to follow through, it’s difficult to BREAK THE RULE. A rule made by ourselves.

I was chased by one of our Crazy Bloggers to post on this topic. HE hEEE..

What I will do now is.. list the resolutions of our Crazy Bloggers and my friends!!

So that they can’t escape from what they have declared to follow.

Here it goes..

RockSta: It is for the first time that I gave some serious thought on new year resolutions. I really wanted to come with a list of resolutions that somehow reflect what I wanted to do (deep down under), something that was gnawing away sub-consciously. This is what I have managed to come up with:

When I go to sleep wrapped in a warm blanket, I will not forget that there are 78 million Indians without a home.

When I fill up my bike's petrol tank for Rs. 600, I will not forget that 26% of the Indian population earns less than Rs. 540.

When I look at my bulging tummy and decide not to eat the rest of my food, I will not forget that there are 200 million Indians living in hunger and that 47 per cent of Indian children are malnourished.

When I look at myself in the mirror, I will not forget who I am and who I could have been.

But, as always, there is that fear. When you have set yourself some goals too high and not able to meet them. Deeksh had a kind word on this. He advised me to go for what I really want. So here I am, revising my previous list of resolutions to just one:

Stay healthy, thereby reducing weight and enjoy life!

Wishing you all Happy New Year.

Hari: My new year resolutions are

Should learn car driving

I want to become slim

Encouraging people to help poor who are in need

Guruvardhan: My new year resolutions :

Be good and true to myself and my frens as much as possible...

Buy a vehicle..(a sports cycle and an Electric)

Blog more..

Give back something to society...donno what...but will start on it...

Geetha: My new year resolutions are very casual. I donno if I can call them as resolutions….. Might sound strange but true that I do not want to cry for small things. I should be daring enough to face any problem. I should try my best to keep my family happy, many more that I cant express.........

Prashanthi: My new year resolutions are

I wish to continue helping needy people in my day to day life as much as possible

Wish to save enough money for my brother’s dream bike

Wish to be with parents always and give support when required and do all possible things to keep them in comfort zone and happy

Arunava: Here are my new year resolutions -

Discover Karnataka on my Honda Activa with my girl friend on the back

To set up my planned Hotel Chain across parts of Maharashtra, Bengal, Bangalore and Ooty

To be at a higher position at EmPower

To contribute more to Nature and EmPower Eco Drives

To earn more...........

Karthik: My new year resolutions are

To have a decent hair cut

To have a 6 packs like Aamir Khan within March

Crazy Wish List

Dear Santa,

So far this year I have been good most of the time. I work very hard at my job. I am not wasting water unnecessarily. I am trying my best to reduce the usage of plastic papers. When you select my gifts, please remember my wish list.

Here is what I want most. Please do your best!

Pair of most trendy Watches (one formal and one casual looks)
A Television which telecasts my favorite programs when I need (As I reach home late from office, I miss many of my favorite programs like ‘World’s Amazing Videos’, ‘So You Think You Can Dance’)
A Magic Lamp (whenever I used to watch ‘Aladdin’ during my school days – I always wanted Magic Lamp. May be to do my homework – I don’t know if Genie’s handwriting matches mine.. he hee)

I understand that some of these things may be hard to deliver. A Magic Lamp, for instance, would be difficult to get from Aladdin. Now I am working, so Genie don’t worry you no need to write homework, instead I might ask you something else.

Here are some MORE things I want. Do your best, Santa!

I want no children to work in their schooling age
No children should be hurt, especially due to religion and economic status
Special transport facilities for our senior citizens
No corruption
School academics should have lessons that add moral values to kids’ lives
Fresh air
Increase the white tiger population

Santa, I am not being mean asking all these. I would like to be good, most of the time. So, I would also like to list Crazy Bloggers’ wish list.

Hari’s wish
Everyone should be happy and lead peaceful life
Help blind children and old age beggars
All should reach home safely daily
and last but not the least is that 2008 year
should never repeat as under gone so many pains and has lost their jobs.

Sowjanya’s Wish
I wish, whole heartedly that my heartfelt wish come true
I wish, things to be fine, the way they are usually

RockSta’s Wish List:
Discover India on a Bullet
Sony Erickson W902 mobile phone
Drive a Bugati Veyron in Seychelles
Enlist for U.N. Peace Keeping Force for a year
Hope I am not too selfish/greedy ;-)

Jeshal’s wish list
Would like to take out more time for myself
Read and Write more
Do more socially useful work (work with kids and elderly)
Make lot of friends
Plant more trees
Buy a bicycle
Do more outdoor activities. (more jogging, more trekking)
Make a photobiography (Topic not decided yet. Readers can suggest something)

Thank you,
Deeksh

What You See Might Not Be True

By Deeksh

Hi Friends,

Today when I was checking my inbox, I found very interesting mail (rather I call it STRANGE mail). It was about a tree called Nareepol, which is believed to be located at Petchaboon province 500 kms away from Bangkok. The mail had few pics of this tree.

Out of curious I Google’d to see if I get more of info on this, specially pics. Alternatively I wanted to check if this info is updated in Wikipedia.

To my surprise I could see lots of blogs on this with same info, nothing less nor more. Even Wiki dint have info.

As I was reading all those blogs, the bloggers believed the existence of the tree, but I found many comments (who were thinking jus the way I did) which were not in favor.

Almost all image-pages in Google showed same pics. They are of same angle and repeated pics from the same tree.

I am seriously thinking, if it is real, why have I not come across this these many years?

One of the blog said that 100 years old books mention about this tree.. but the blogger failed to mention any of those books name.

When I saw the pics in my mail box, I was not sure of what I was viewing. But now very much.

It is total internet hoax.

I think there is no proper evidence to prove what bloggers are saying. Every blog you visit, have posted same set of pics.

I try to watch Ripley’s Believe It Or Not regularly. Never I have come across abut this tree.

There is no channel or other media which covered this news. Not even in Discovery Channel.

Seeing all this, I remember a post by one of our Crazy Bloggers – on Mass Media.

Usage of Internet. Amazing stuffs were covered in the post. Both pros and cons were discussed.

One such negative usage is such cases.

The tree is well performed hoax by some talented person, I would say extremely talented. The person has made a story, morphed pics and at last publishing it in Mass Media – the Internet.

Why should someone spread rumors?

Most interesting thing that I came across while browsing on this topic was – COMMENTS.

I read lotssssss of stories on this tree.

I appreciate these story owners for being so creative and imaginative. Common let us use this creativity for betterment of man kind.

Before ending this post, all I want to say is – Don’t believe what you listen…many a times even what you see might not be true…

This quote is very true, in life – it is very important to value relations, and we should not be carried away by what we listen or see…..

Always there is a reason for what has happened (not valid too).

I don’t understand the reason behind such rumors. What are they getting in return??

Critics?? Name?? Fame?? Thufffff??

He hee..

Hey, you have viewed the above set of pics which shows human shaped fruits.

Now I have tried to mark the morph spots.

Freedom..

By Deeksh

Many of us generally associate innovation with gizmos and gadgets. But these are just the more visible products of technical innovation and certainly not the most important innovations, which are related to the very foundational structures of an economy.

Institutional structures such as the constitution of the state, judiciary, the educational institutions, legislature, and the market, should be strong enough for any country to become INDEPENDENT!!

The ability to innovate and help evolve these institutions depends on the degree of freedom that individuals in society enjoy.

We can enjoy burly degree of freedom, if we can come-up with innovative ideas that permit us better tomorrow.

So what determines the degree of freedom? Ultimately it is the collective spirit of the society which grants to itself whatever freedoms it chooses. Another word for the phrase “collective spirit” could be culture.

How many of us value freedom?

Hey, not the political freedom that was obtained decades ago from British colonial rule. But the freedom that affects individuals in their day to day living and working.

So, now tell me – What is freedom for you?

Robots Replace Animals!!

By Deeksh

Scientists have been using animals for testing since years. It is estimated that 50 to 100 million vertebrate animals worldwide — from fish to non-human primates — are used annually.

Using animals in these testing is highly controversial.

Though, the U.S. and British governments both support the advancement of medical and scientific goals using animal testing, provided that the testing minimizes animal use and suffering.

Animals are used in testing personal goods such as shampoos to some highly toxic chemicals.

Is there any alternative?

YES it is – says Christopher Austin, Director, Chemical Genomics Center, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland.

Mr. Austin says that, in future, robots might replace animal testing in screening for environmental toxins.

He believes that over the course of the next five to ten years that this (using robots) approach will refine, reduce, and ultimately replace the number of animals that are used in toxicology testing.

The process is slow, it’s expensive, it is not necessarily predicative of human toxicity, and it’s become increasingly discouraged by the public, said Mr. Austin.

According to Mr. Austin, the new method grows cells on small trays. Each tray may have over 1,500 different chambers, each chamber holding just a few cells to be tested. Robots working 24/7 quickly handle and process the information, which translates to whether a chemical might be harmful to a human being.

Mr. Austin said the new process works, and should be widely used in the next few years. That’s good news for those who feel for the plightof animals that undergo testing.

It’s really noble idea to develop new testing methods to replace these animals.

Yes – rabbits, mice and rats are cheap and readily replaceable, but that doesn’t mean we have ‘rights’ to divest their rights to live on this planet.

I, personally think that, robots may not represent the exact real reactions to these tests, we might still depend on these animals for few more decades, and it’s good to know that scientists are working on the right track – AI.

But how long this abuse on animals in the name of ‘research’ continues…

Did you know:

Types of vertebrates used in animal testing in Europe in 2005: a total of 12.1 million animals were used.

Truly Emotive..

Deeksh

Today, I was browsing for some info. Accidentally, I came across a story that is stirring and motivating. Why not share with you all -

A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco.

"Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with me."

"Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him."

"There's something you should know the son continued, "he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us."

"I'm sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live."

"No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us."

"Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own."

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn't know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don't like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren't as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are. Thankfully, there's someone who won't treat us that way. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever family, regardless of how messed up we are.

Tonight, before you tuck yourself in for the night, say a little prayer that God will give you the strength you need to accept people as they are, and to help us all be more understanding of those who are different from us!!!

Blackox – The Fear Demon

By Deeksh

I am inspired by robots developed and marketed by iRobot. The company is manufacturing both consumer and military robots. Each time I come across images of PackBot or Roomba – I imagine a robot that iRobot might come up in future, a robot with fictional characters. As the Roomba is iRobot’s best selling vacuum cleaning robot, iRobot is concentrating more on consumer robots. Recently, I read a blog entry about iRobot filing a patent for a new lawn mowing robot, this means, Colin is still aiming only consumer division, I guess.

iRobot Corp. supply bomb disposal robots to military. The PackBot is already used in Iraq and Afghanistan to remove road side bombs.

Why aren’t they exploring the field of toys? Kids are crazy for these robotic toys. Anything for robotic pet. I like it too.

I would like to share an information on a robotic toy - The Vstone Blackox, which is evil menace that might probably dominate your kid’s play room.

Of course, it is a Japanese venture.

According to TECHDIGEST, only 30 units are available and 15 already on pre-order. Will he ever make it to a shelf? The Vstone Blackox stands at 440mm, weighs 2.5kg, with 20 movable axis points and some appealing cool moves.

View these clips at your own risk:

This cool monster goes on sale in September at a price about £3,800. Already he is in demand and I am unsure if this guy reaches mass consumer sector, as he costs hefty price.

If iRobot builds similar kind of robot then it would be named iChap. hE hEE..
